			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St Andrews Beach tournament proved to be a big success again this year with a total of 15 teams taking part. Players old and new from all the Scottish teams were joined by counterparts from Leeds and Lancaster to enjoy the sun and the sand on West Sands Beach, St Andrews and to play some beach korfball.</p>
<p><span id="more-5"></span></p>
<p>Despite the wind picking up at times, the players were bathed in sun all day and everyone had a great time. The day was topped off with an delicious barbecue and a great social!</p>
<p>St Andrews would like to thank all the teams who attended and club member Alan Robertson for his organisational skills!</p>

In an undefeated season, the team went from strength to strength and never really looked like losing their title. Captain Adam Maynard said he was &#8220;delighted&#8221; with how his team performed all season and maintained a high level of focus.

In an undefeated season, the team went from strength to strength and never really looked like losing their title. Captain Adam Maynard said he was &#8220;delighted&#8221; with how his team performed all season and maintained a high level of focus.</p>

<p>To add to the league title, St Andrew&#8217;s Naomi Reid received the award for Female Top Goal Scorer at the end of season awards.</p>
<p>Incoming captain Dave Jones, says he is &#8220;confident St Andrews can be champions three years in a row&#8221; as he takes the reigns for the 2009 &#8211; 2010 season.</p>
